Changelog

New features, changes and retirements, written down as they ship.

October 8, 2026Thu

  1. FixedNo.57

Market pages describe their data properly to search engines

Each market page now tells search engines what its price series is in full sentences, under which terms its source publishes the data, and who publishes the page, so the pages can appear in dataset search.

  2. NewNo.56

Share signals, stories, briefs and SeekMap

These pages now have a Share button. On a phone it opens the system's share sheet (WeChat, LINE, Telegram and the rest); on a computer you can copy the link, share to X, Bluesky or Weibo, or show a QR code to scan with WeChat. Links shared while signed in carry your invite code.

  3. NewNo.55

A welcome step after signing up

A new account first sees a welcome step: follow a few of today's busiest countries, topics and names in one tap each, claim the Pro pass, and choose whether to get the brief by email (off unless you choose). Everything can be skipped and changed later on the account page. New accounts also get one introduction email.

  4. NewImportantNo.54

Seven days of Pro free, no card; more Pro for inviting friends

A new account can claim 7 days of Pro without a card; it ends by itself and goes back to the free plan, with nothing charged. The 14-day card trial on Pro monthly is gone. Every account has its own invite link on the account page: a friend who signs up through it gets 14 days instead of 7, and when they verify their email, follow something and come back on another day, you get 7 days of Pro, up to 12 times a year.

  5. FixedNo.53

A QR code for two-step verification

Turning on two-step verification now shows a QR code to scan with Google Authenticator or any authenticator app. If you can't scan, open the key to type it in by hand, shown in groups of four characters.

  6. FixedNo.52

Your account's language now applies to the whole site

The preferred language on the account page used to set only the language of emails; the site did not read it. Now changing it, or switching language in the header or footer, updates both, and signing in on another device brings your account's language with it.

  7. ImprovedNo.51

Major stories reach the headlines sooner

A story that many independent outlets report within a short time is written up first and enters the headlines at the next hour, and one story gets one dossier. A published change that a later check questions stays on the page until an editor decides.

  8. ImprovedNo.50

A larger SeekMap, with earthquakes, fires and country figures

The map takes the full width, with a country's details side by side under it, and a country opens zoomed on itself and its neighbours. Two layers you can switch on: earthquakes from USGS and fires from NASA FIRMS; the country details add World Bank figures for GDP growth, inflation, unemployment and population. The wheel now scrolls the page; hold Ctrl or ⌘ to zoom the map.

  9. NewNo.49

Follow AiSeek on Telegram, Bluesky and Mastodon

SeekMap's Change Heat by country at 08:00 and 20:00 Japan time, and every new headline as it lands. The Telegram channel is in Chinese; Bluesky and Mastodon are in English. Their links are in the footer.

  10. NewImportantNo.48

The brief by email, no account needed

A new newsletter: leave your email, choose daily or weekly, confirm, and you get the brief's title, summary and five most important changes, each linking to its page with the sources. Every email unsubscribes in one click. Share your own link: when three friends confirm, you get a month of Pro.

  11. NewNo.47

Put AiSeek on your own site

A new embeds page: a country heat badge (one image, no script), the SeekMap world by Change Heat, and today's and tomorrow's release calendar. Paste one line into any site, commercial ones included, free; each links back to AiSeek.

  12. NewNo.46

Quarterly and yearly billing, and a free Pro trial

Every paid plan can now be billed monthly, every three months or yearly; quarterly and yearly cost less than paying by the month, and the pricing page shows the list price. Pro, monthly, starts with a 14-day free trial: nothing is charged during it, one trial per person.

  13. NewNo.45

    The Developer plan

A fourth plan for people and AI agents that build on the API and MCP: everything in Intelligence, with the API and MCP at 120 requests a minute and 100,000 a day, up to 20 keys, twice Intelligence's follows, saved filters and daily Ask AiSeek and SeekMap assistant questions, and SeekMap over 180 days. The price is on the pricing page.

  14. NewNo.44

AI agents can read AiSeek over MCP

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients can now use your API key to look up the latest changes, one change's sources, each country's Change Heat, the release calendar, companies and the latest brief. Read-only like the API and counted by plan, one request per tool call; answers carry sources and links. How to connect is on the developers page.

  15. FixedImportantNo.43

New changes reach the home page again

From the evening of 7 October to the afternoon of 8 October, the check every change passes before publication was too strict: it held back stories that many outlets reported alike, the chemistry Nobel among them, so the headlines and the live newsflash stayed on older items. The check is back to a sensible standard: a year the reports leave out is read from the reporting date, and an event that several independent outlets report alike may be stated as fact. The changes held back by mistake are being checked again and return to the pages as they pass.

  16. ImprovedNo.42

    Official releases from more countries

We have started adding the official releases of central banks, statistics offices and governments in about 50 countries and regions: each only after it offers a public feed and allows reading it, a few a day. Countries that are blank on SeekMap will fill in over time. Collection also has a second path now; if one stops, the other takes over.

  17. ImprovedNo.41

    Zoom and pan on SeekMap

Zoom the map with the wheel, two fingers or the buttons in its corner, and drag to look anywhere; dots and lines stay crisp as you zoom in. The map keeps its own proportions, with the details scrolling beside it, and the domain choices no longer change with the domain you pick. The small map card no longer repeats on the SeekMap page itself.

October 7, 2026Wed

  1. ImprovedNo.40

Headlines and SeekMap refresh every 15 minutes

The order of the home headlines changes every 15 minutes; new dossiers still arrive on the hour and hold the large picture for their first hour. SeekMap's country heat now updates every 15 minutes too, so new changes reach the map sooner.

  2. NewNo.39

    Since your last visit

Back on the home page, the headlines' head tells you how many changes arrived since you were last here and in which domains; if you follow things, how many are new in them. Changes you have opened are dimmed. All of this is remembered only in your browser.

  3. NewMajor updateNo.38

    SeekMap: Worldview. View the world.

Every change is placed where it happened. Countries are shaded by Change Heat (against their own last 30 days; 50 is an ordinary day), structure links between countries are drawn as arcs, and a ring marks where several domains move together. A small card on the right of every page opens on your region first.

    • For everyoneFree sees the last 7 days, Pro 30 days with country alerts, Intelligence 90 days with the SeekMap assistant.
    • Open methodHow heat is computed, how places are decided and which relations are drawn is on the Method page, versioned.
  4. NewImportantNo.37

    Trust you can see

Tap any sentence of a dossier to see the passage it rests on and where it comes from; cards show how many sources stand behind a change and how many are primary. New: a Method page, public Corrections, and a note under every dossier on how it was written by AI and checked fact by fact.

  5. NewNo.36

    Dark mode

The whole site has a dark theme. It follows your system by default; switch it on the home schedule card (desktop) or in the bottom menu (phone), and this device remembers your choice.

  6. ImprovedNo.35

Cooler on phones, and more weather

On a phone the home weather card shows every reading (high and low, feels like, humidity, wind, rain, UV) and the schedule lists today only. The page no longer redraws its background and glass on every frame, and loops pause when they scroll away, so phones stay cooler and smoother.

  7. FixedNo.34

Pictures are back on the headline dossiers

The five dossiers that lead the home page have their pictures again, and the picture row under them fills all four places instead of two.

  8. NewImportantNo.33

    The API on every plan

The read-only API is no longer Intelligence only: Free reads 1 request a minute and 400 a day, Pro 5 a minute and 5,000 a day, Intelligence 60 a minute and 20,000 a day. Make a personal key on your account page; a new Free account can make its first key a day after it signs up, a paid plan at once.

  9. NewNo.32

An About page and this changelog

A new About page shows, in live counts, how many sources AiSeek reads, how much evidence it quotes, and how much it classes and publishes; in its picture the five characters turn source text into published changes, and what reaches "Just published" is always the real newest one. The changelog is this page, and every release will be written here.

  10. NewNo.31

Dot moves into the bottom-right corner

On a computer, Dot waits in the bottom-right corner, its eyes following your pointer, dozing when things are quiet. A switch in the footer puts it away.

  11. NewNo.30

Comments on the Discover page: reviewed first, answered by the team

A comment card sits beside the Discover page. A reader's comment appears once the team has reviewed it, and the team can reply. Liking now needs an account.

  12. ImprovedNo.29

The domain map and domain pages, redrawn

The coverage page draws the busiest domains as one map; press one to see it beside the map. A domain page opens with today against the last two weeks.

October 6, 2026Tue

  1. ImprovedNo.28

    China's CPI is now monthly

China's consumer price index now comes from the OECD's monthly figures instead of the World Bank's annual rate, so it is far more current.

  2. NewNo.27

More ways to sign in: passkeys, emailed codes and Microsoft

Sign in with a passkey, or have a code sent to your email; Microsoft accounts work too.

  3. ImprovedNo.26

    The five characters, final

Signal, Rally, Sunny, Moss and Dot were redrawn, each with its own eyes and temper.

  4. NewNo.25

Dossiers rotating on the home page

The home page's lead position rotates through a few dossiers. Each tells one story, its background, who said what and the key figures, with every paragraph marked with the source text it quotes.

  5. ImprovedNo.24

More sources, and none that stops quietly

A new set of sources joined. Every source is read by its own rules, a source that has gone quiet for too long is flagged for us to handle, and sources that do not allow automated collection are no longer read.

  6. NoticeImportantNo.23

What each plan includes, and an API for Intelligence

Plans now follow the price table; the pricing page has the details. Intelligence adds a read-only API: create a key on your account page, see the developers page for how to use it.

  7. NewNo.22

More official releases in the calendar

Ahead adds the decision dates of more central banks and the release times of more economic data from the US, Canada and Australia.

  8. NoticeImportantNo.21

    Paid plans are open

Pro and Intelligence can now be bought. After cancelling, a paid plan runs to the end of the period.

  9. RetiredNo.20

Crypto asset prices are no longer shown

The markets page and the home market strip no longer show crypto asset prices. News, topics and follows in the crypto domain carry on as before.

  10. ImprovedMajor updateNo.19

Home page and site redesign, with a layout of its own on phones

The home page now opens with one statement and the busiest domains of the moment, beside the weather where you are and this week's important releases. Buttons, cards and spacing were made consistent across the site. On phones a tab bar at the bottom reaches the main pages in one press.

    • Chart periodsCharts switch between daily, weekly and monthly.
    • Release calendarsRelease times of statistics offices in several countries joined the calendar.
    • FasterYour browser downloads only the language you are reading.

    Kept as it was

    • Every page address
    • Accounts, follows and alerts
  11. ImprovedNo.18

Steadier releases: a new version is tried before it takes over

Each update runs the full set of checks beside the live site before the switch; a version that fails never touches it.

    • FixedNames of people and companies in Chinese text were never recognised; now they are.

October 5, 2026Mon

  1. ImprovedNo.17

Motion redone: quieter, with the characters in more places

Glows and similar effects are gone; a few consistent movements remain. The five characters appear on empty pages, error pages and the offline notice, and with reduced motion set on your system all decorative animation stops.

  2. NewNo.16

The Ahead calendar and the track record

Ahead puts central bank decisions, data releases and the effective dates and deadlines of major policies in one calendar. The track record sets what we said was worth watching beside what happened, hits and misses alike.

  3. NewNo.15

    Markets and economic data

New markets and macro pages: exchange rates, energy, government bond yields, metal and farm prices, and the main economic indicators by country. Every figure comes from an official public source and traces back to its release.

    • Unusual movesAn unusual move is recorded as a change; news from the same day is marked as possibly related, never as the cause.
  4. NewNo.14

Ask AiSeek, with your own model key

Ask questions of what AiSeek has published; answers cite only changes with evidence on the site. Your own model key does the work, stored encrypted and used only for your questions.

  5. NewNo.13

The structure map: suppliers, customers and rivals in one picture

Company and topic pages have a new structure map, zoned by what each relation means. Thicker lines carry more evidence and hypotheses are dashed. Press a node and the map re-centres on it.

  6. ImprovedNo.12

Cleaner article text, and copies merged automatically

Navigation, menus and repeated paragraphs no longer creep into the source text, and a copy that is nearly identical to an original is filed under it instead of appearing twice.

  7. NewNo.11

A status page for checking the service

status.aiseek.dev checks the site and the API around the clock. During maintenance or an outage, the site shows a page that says so instead of an error.

  8. NewNo.10

A new sign-in page, with five characters for company

Sign-in and sign-up were rebuilt, with Google and GitHub and two-step verification. Five small characters live beside the form and react to what you type.

  9. NewNo.9

Contact, problem reports and takedown requests

A new contact page. Beside every change you can report a problem, and a person reads every report. Rights holders can file a request on the takedown page. The privacy policy, terms and other legal texts are published.

  10. ImprovedNo.8

Better share cards, clearer search results

A shared change now carries a card made for it, with the title and the sources, and search engines index every page more accurately.

  11. NoticeImportantNo.7

A full review of older changes: 342 withdrawn

We went through the older changes one by one, checking that something really changed, that the evidence holds and that the source is clear. Every one that failed was withdrawn; every change now public has had its evidence checked.

  1. NoticeNo.6

    Site statistics are anonymous

Our own statistics tool records only the kind of page and a few actions: no titles, search words, accounts or email addresses. With Do Not Track on, nothing is counted at all.

  2. NewNo.5

Pricing page: what Free, Pro and Intelligence include

A new pricing page shows what each plan includes in one table.

  3. ImprovedMajor updateNo.4

A new logo and home page: frosted glass cards and a column of the newest changes

The new AiSeek logo arrives with one set of corners and colours across the site. The home page opens with the most important changes of the moment, next to a column of the newest ones drifting slowly upward that pauses under the pointer.

  4. NewNo.3

    Daily and weekly briefs

A brief every day and every week: the most important changes first, then sections by domain. A section with nothing strong enough stays empty.

    • RSSImportant changes and the briefs both have RSS feeds.

October 3, 2026Sat

  1. NewNo.2

Follow companies, topics and domains, and hear when they change

Follow a company, a topic or a whole domain. When something you follow has an important change, gains attention or gets a new relation, you are told; open it again and you see what changed since your last visit.

  2. NoticeMajor updateNo.1

The new AiSeek: technology, economy, markets, policy, every change with its source

From this version AiSeek no longer watches only AI and chips: it follows changes in technology, the economy, markets, policy, energy, health and more. A change is published only with source text we can quote, and nothing without evidence reaches the home page.

    • One story, one changeReports of the same story become one change, and a story that keeps developing updates that change.
    • Ranked by importanceImpact, speed, evidence and source quality set the order, and no single domain or company fills the home page.
