Terms of Service

Effective 2026-10-07

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

AiSeek (aiseek.dev, the "Service") is operated by WU Yuanchao, an individual resident in Japan ("AiSeek", "we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].

These terms are an agreement between you and us about your use of the Service, including the website, accounts, emails, briefs, alerts, research features, Ask AiSeek and the API. By using the Service or creating an account you agree to these terms, to our Privacy Policy and, if you subscribe, to the Subscription Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 16 years old. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm that you may bind it to these terms, and "you" includes that organisation.

3. Your account

Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your password and sign-in methods secure and do not share your account; you are responsible for activity under it. Tell us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use. One account is for one person.

4. What AiSeek provides

AiSeek finds, verifies and organises changes reported in public sources and explains the structure around them: what changed, why it matters, who it affects, the evidence and what to watch next.

Every statement shows how well it is supported:

  • FACT: backed by provenance evidence from a source.
  • SUPPORTED: an inference that rests on evidence but is not stated outright by a source.
  • HYPOTHESIS: a possibility worth watching that is not established.

We never present a hypothesis as a fact, but sources can be wrong, change or be withdrawn, and our analysis can contain errors. Parts of the Service use automated systems, including AI models, to summarise, classify and connect information; their output can be incomplete or wrong. Check the cited sources before you rely on anything important.

5. Not investment or professional advice

The Service provides information for research. It is not investment, financial, legal, tax or other professional advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security or asset. You are solely responsible for your decisions. See also the Disclaimer.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • copy, scrape, crawl, harvest or systematically download content or data from the Service by automated means, except through the API within the limits of your plan;
  • resell, sublicense, redistribute or publish the Service's content or data as a substitute for the Service, or build a competing database from it;
  • get around plan limits, access controls, rate limits or security measures, or access other users' private data;
  • reverse engineer the Service except where the law expressly allows it;
  • disrupt the Service, introduce malware or overload our systems;
  • use the Service for anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful, or in breach of others' rights;
  • submit false reports or takedown requests, or misuse our contact channels.

Short quotations with a link back to the page are welcome.

7. Content and intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, structure and the analysis we create belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service under these terms and your plan.

Content from third-party sources belongs to its owners. We show limited excerpts with attribution and links, and only where we have the right to publish them. Open data and open source components we use are credited at /credits under their licences. If you believe something on the Service infringes your rights, follow our takedown process at /legal/takedown or write to [email protected].

8. What you send us

Reports, corrections, feedback and messages you send stay yours. You allow us to use them to run and improve the Service, for example to review and correct content. A report never changes a statement by itself; only evidence can.

Your private research runs are yours and private to you. We use them only to provide the Service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Comments

Comments on the Discover page are public. To comment you need to be signed in with a verified email address.

  • A comment appears only after our team has reviewed it. We may decline, hide or remove any comment without giving a reason, in particular advertising and spam, abuse and personal attacks, unlawful content, content that infringes others' rights, other people's personal information, and impersonation.
  • Your comment is shown with your account's display name (you can change it on your account page), never your email address.
  • You are responsible for what you write. Your comment stays yours; you allow us to show it on the Service and to keep it for review.
  • You can delete your comment at any time; deleting your account deletes your comments.
  • Readers can report a comment. Replies from the team are marked "AiSeek team". A comment is its author's view, not content AiSeek has verified.

9. Ask AiSeek and your own model key

Ask AiSeek is available on plans that include it and works only with an API key for a model provider that you supply.

  • You are responsible for your key, for complying with your provider's terms and for any charges your provider bills you.
  • We store your key encrypted and use it only for your Ask AiSeek requests.
  • Answers are generated from AiSeek's verified content by the model you chose. They label each sentence with the class of what it cites, but they can still be incomplete or wrong. An answer is not evidence and does not change AiSeek's content.
  • We may limit the number or size of requests to protect the Service.

10. Plans and subscriptions

Some features need a paid plan (Pro or Intelligence). Plan features and limits are shown on /pricing; the Subscription Terms govern billing. In short: subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period; payments already made are not refunded, pro-rated or otherwise, except where the law requires; payments, taxes and invoices are handled by Polar as the merchant of record. We tell you in advance before a price change applies to you.

The API. You may use the API only with your own keys, within the limits of your plan shown on /developers and for your own use. You must not share keys, or resell, sublicense or redistribute API data in breach of section 6, and you must keep the source and licence that come with each figure. We may revoke a key that is shared or misused.

11. Changes to the Service

We improve the Service continuously and may add, change or remove features. If we remove a paid feature that is central to your plan, we will tell you in advance and, where appropriate, offer a fair remedy such as a pro-rated credit.

12. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in your account settings.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, puts the Service or others at risk, or where the law requires. Where reasonable we will warn you first and explain why. When an account is closed, your right to use the Service ends; sections 5, 7, 12, 13, 14 and 15 continue to apply.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including about accuracy, completeness, availability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error free.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunities, including losses from investment or business decisions made using the Service.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and 10,000 Japanese yen.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer under the mandatory law of the country where you live.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live. Before going to court, please contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the matter.

16. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right, we have not waived it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer them to a successor operating the Service, for example a company formed to run AiSeek, and will tell you if we do.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. If you continue to use the Service after the change takes effect, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, stop using the Service and you may delete your account.
