NASA Selects PRIMA Far-Infrared Space Telescope for Development
NASA has selected the PRobe far-Infrared Mission for Astrophysics (PRIMA) to move to the next stage in its development, aiming for a 2033 launch. PRIMA will observe in far-infrared wavelengths, filling a gap in space telescope capabilities.
Why it matters. The advancement of PRIMA will enhance our understanding of the universe, particularly in observing stellar nurseries and growing black holes.
