Google AI Research Published in The Lancet: Improving Doctor-Patient Relationships

Google and BIDMC researchers published an AI study in The Lancet, where the AI chatbot AMIE was used on 98 patients. AMIE helped doctors prepare in 75% of scenarios and changed the doctors' diagnostic approach in more than half of the cases, with a concordance rate of 90%.

Why it matters. The application of AI technology in the medical field is expected to improve the doctor-patient relationship and alleviate the workload of medical staff.
