AIKO to supply 773.5 MWp of solar modules for Infinity Power's South African projects

AIKO will supply 1,195,136 high-efficiency ABC solar modules for three utility-scale solar projects in South Africa under an agreement with Infinity Power, totaling 773.5 MWp. The projects, awarded under Bid Window 7 of South Africa's REIPPPP, will be developed by Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy and PowerChina Guizhou Engineering, with 20-year PPAs with Eskom.

Why it matters. The deal expands renewable energy capacity in South Africa, contributing to national clean energy goals and avoiding an estimated 1.7 million tonnes of CO₂ annually once operational.
