EU regulators order crypto platforms to remove unauthorized stablecoins
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has given crypto platforms three months to remove unauthorized stablecoins, such as Tether’s USDT, from their services, as per the Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) rules.
Why it matters. Crypto platforms and users in the EU will need to comply with new regulations, affecting the availability and use of certain stablecoins.
