Eni Installs World’s First Purpose-Built Offshore CCS Platform

Eni has completed the installation of the Douglas CCS platform, the world’s first purpose-built offshore platform dedicated to carbon capture and storage for industrial decarbonisation in Liverpool Bay, UK.

Why it matters. The platform supports the HyNet industrial decarbonisation cluster, facilitating CO2 transportation and storage for industrial facilities in Northwest England and North Wales.
