Japanese Court Confirms Legal Protection for Voices for the First Time

A Tokyo court in Japan has, for the first time, confirmed that a person's voice is protected by law, ruling that the unauthorized use of the voice of well-known voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda infringed upon his right of publicity.
