CBP extends compliance date for de minimis mail shipment suspension

U.S. Customs and Border Protection extends the compliance date to January 20, 2027, for regulations requiring formal entry of merchandise arriving through the international postal network, providing additional time for importers and logistics providers to update systems and processes.

Why it matters. Affects all importers, customs brokers, and logistics operators using the international postal network for shipments under $2,500, requiring operational adjustments to meet new formal entry and data submission requirements.
