EU Commission proposes €45 billion 2027 Ukraine Support Loan allocation

The European Commission adopted a proposal for a Council implementing decision to allocate the remaining €45 billion of the €90 billion Ukraine Support Loan for 2027, split between up to €13.3 billion in budget support and €31.7 billion for defence industrial capacity, subject to rule-of-law and anti-corruption conditions.

Why it matters. The decision determines the disbursement of critical budgetary and defence funding to Ukraine in 2027, affecting the country's ability to maintain public services and sustain its defence industrial base under ongoing conflict.
