ECB Announces Digital Euro Accessibility Features

The ECB has outlined the accessibility features of the digital euro app, which will exceed the requirements of the European Accessibility Act, and will start usability and accessibility testing in 2027.

Why it matters. The digital euro project affects financial services and privacy, as it introduces a new form of digital currency.
