U.S. Real GDP increased 3.4% annual rate in Q3 2026

Real gross domestic product grew at a 3.4 percent annual rate in the third quarter of 2026, up from 2.2 percent in Q2, driven by increases in investment, consumer spending, and government spending, partly offset by lower exports and higher imports.

Why it matters. The acceleration in growth signals continued economic expansion and will influence monetary policy, business planning, and market expectations for the remainder of 2026.
